Conclusion:

I must say I am amazed on how well the ADATA C702 performed. It offers blazing fast speeds and high capacities for not a lot of money. At about $70 for 16GB of portable storage that's a deal. The C702 outperformed other drives in it's class in all of the read speed tests, including the OCZ Rally2, which is a dual channel drive built for fast transfer rates. If you are in the market for a portable flash drive and don't need the frills, like encryption and U3 Smart software, I would definitely recommend the ADATA C702. If you are looking for those software perks, you might want to look at other drives that offer them, or you could always download open source versions such as, Rare Idea's PortableApps program, which worked flawlessly with the ADATA Classic C702 16GB Flash Drive.

Pros:

  • Up to 16GB capacity.
  • High speed transfers.
  • Small and lightweight.
  • Support Windows ReadyBoost.
  • Retractable USB Connector.

Cons:

  • No accessories included.
  • No software/encryption included.
