Whether you love or hate DLC, it does continue the life of games long after launch and now we know some of what is coming for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands in its second year. There will be four major updates called Special Operations that will be free for all players, and the first one drops April 10. Special Operations I adds a campaign mission and a challenge with exclusive rewards along with the Sabotage PvP game mode. Sabotage will have five exclusive maps, a new class, and perks for players to enjoy. Players will also get to customize AI teammates with the clothing you unlock for your character.

While the Special Operations are going to be released for free to all players, you can purchase Year 2 pass for $29.99 to get seven-day early access to the Ghost War classes. The pass also includes a customization pack, four Special Ops crates and four Ghost War crates.

One of these new classes is the Echelon class, and those familiar with other Tom Clancy-based games might be reminded of Sam Fisher's Fourth Echelon Team from the Splinter Cell series. Part of Special Operations I is a crossover between these two series with Sam Fisher teaming up with the Ghosts for a mission. This mission is only available until May 2, so if you want access to the special items it grants, like Sam's characteristic the night-vision goggles, you will need to do it before then.

If this all sounds interesting but you are just not sure if you want to purchase Ghost Recon Wildlands, from April 12 to April 15 there will be a Free Weekend across all platforms. During the weekend you will get to enjoy the complete base game, Ghost War PvP mode, the Predator mission, and the Special Operations I content.
