NVIDIA has announced a new GPU based on its Volta architecture targeting those working in AI, deep learning, and high performance computing; the TITAN V. The TITAN V can reach 110 Tflops, nine times that of the its predecessor, and part of that is thanks to the its new Tensor Cores. The GPU also features independent paths for integer and floating-point data, improving efficiency when the workload involves a mix of computation and addressing calculations. A combined L1 data cache and shared memory unit also boost performance while simplifying programming. The GPU is fabricated on TSMC's new 12 nm FFN process and is fed by 12 GB of HBM2 memory with a tuned memory subsystem for improved bandwidth utilization.

If you need this kind of power for the work you do, the TITAN V is available now for $2999 in the NVIDIA, in participating countries.

I seriously cannot wait for the Volta GPU's to arrive. Man this Titan V is fast compared to Titan Xp and 1080Ti. I am for sure upgrading my GTX 1070 to a Volta around 600-700 bucks ball park next year.

I would expect the consumer volta (aka Ampere) to be $1500. Call it 2080 Ti or Titan XR or whatever. Than the rest fall into place. I think the next series is getting a $50-250 price hike.

Maybe Titan A at $1500 and a 2080Ti releasing 8 months later at $999 ? And a 2080 at $799 since the x80 isn't usually a whole lot faster than the previous gen x80 Ti card.

But you can directly buy it new from Nvidia website for $3,000....

Also don't take anything I say are fact, I ask merely guessing based on HBM2 prices, GDD6 and the current shortage of GPUS. Plus at 21 Billion transistors, they will be alot of defects driving up the costs.

They were sold out, or only taking pre-orders when I checked Nvidia site few days ago.

Edit : in stock, limit 2-per customer.  :)  https://store.nvidia.com/store?Action=DisplayPage&Locale=en_US&SiteID=nvidia&id=QuickBuyCartPage
