Star Wars Battlefront II Announced with November 17 Release
Earlier today EA and Lucasfilm announced Star Wars Battlefront II is coming with a release date of November 17, 2017. DICE, Motive, and Criterion are teaming up to develop this game that will span all three Star Wars eras and allow us to play as ground troops, get into dog fights in First Order TIE Fighters, as well as heroes and villains like Yoda and Darth Maul. Motive has been working with the story group at Lucasfilm and the result is a new story for its single plyer campaign, following an Imperial elite special forces soldier. Galactic-scale space combat is also coming to Battlefront II, and Criterion is behind it so you can fly between asteroid fields and imperial dockyards in some of the universe's most iconic ships, all with refined handling, weapons, and customization options.
While the release is still months away, pre-order bonuses are already being described as content inspired by the upcoming film, including Kylo Ren and Rey themed looks, epic ability upgrades in multiplayer, and players will be able to upgrade to the Star Wars: The Last Jedia Millennium Falcon and a new First Order ship. Those who purchase the Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition will also get upgrades for your trooper classes.
Star Wars Battlefront II is releasing November 17, 2017 on PC (via Origin), Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
