Serious Sam's Bogus Detour Announced for Summer
Recently we have seen Serious Sam news featuring VR versions releasing and the new Serious Sam Fusion 2017 platform for enjoying these Croteam games, and this latest announcement is a bit different. Serious Sam's Bogus Detour is a retro-styled take on the first-person series developed by Crackshell, the developer of Hammerwatch. It will allow players to dominate, or detonate as the case me be, Mediterranean locations, biological weapons labs, and high-tech moon bases alone or in four-player online co-op. If the campaign is not enough for you, there will be Survival and Versus modes, and if those cannot satisfy your Serious tastes, the included game editor can be used to make new mods, modes, and total conversions. It is expected to release early this Summer.
Serious Sam's Bogus Detour is the latest in the Serious Sam Indie Series that already includes Serious Sam: The Random Encounter from Vlambeer, and Serious Sam Double D from Mommy's Best Games. The Indie Series lets the franchise return to its and Croteam's indie roots, as Serious Sam came from a tech demo built by childhood friends in a garage.
