Galactic Civilization III Receives v2.0 Update
If you have been playing Galactic Civilization III recently, today it got an update to version 2.0. Developer and publisher Stardock worked with the community over several months to make sure sometimes overlooked player-desired features would get some attention. One example of this is an improved and more sophisticated diplomatic AI. Internally the AI can check proposals against routines to determine if it is desirable, with these routines having veto power if necessary. Also the AI can now explain in detail why a proposal was accepted or rejected, though this will require translation of new strings. Another v2.0 change is the new Starbase Administrator resource, which is to allow those with smaller empires to remain competitive in a match. There have also been a number of other changes to balance and the UI, and you can read the complete changelog here: Galactic Civilizations III v2.0 (Released 1/26)
Like major updates for many other games, this may be a good time for players to return or new players to start and from now through January 30 Galactic Civilization III, its DLC, and the Gold bundle are on sale on Steam and at Stardock's online store.
