Corsair has announced the Force MP500 M.2 SSDs, "the fastest SSDs yet produced by CORSAIR," with "performance up to five times faster than traditional SATA 6Gbps SSDs." The drives are powered by a Phison PS5007-E7 NVMe controller and utilize the PCIe Gen. 3 x4 M.2 2280 interface. This combination provides for read and write speeds up to 3,000MB/s and 2,400MB/s, respectively. In addition to the high speeds, the Force MP500 drives include proprietary SmartECC, SmartRefresh, and SmartFlush technologies to "safeguard data against corruption in case of unexpected power loss or unsafe shutdown." The Force MP500 drives are available immediately in capacities of 120GB, 240GB, and 480GB.
