Civilization VI Receives Fall Update with DirectX 12 Support

Category: Gaming
Posted: 11:18AM

The Fall 2016 Update has been released for Sid Meier's Civilization VI, and along with new content, fixes, tweaks, and tuning, it also adds DirectX 12 support to the game. If you have an AMD GPU or a Maxwell-or-newer NVIDIA GPU, just make sure you are running the latest drivers and see what kind of difference the low-level API makes for you.

Among the other changes with the update is a new multiplayer scenario called "Cavalry and Cannonades" and two new map types; "Four-Leaf Clover" and "Six-Armed Snowflake." The design of these maps is to encourage more conflict between players by forcing them to advance to the center. You can read the complete release notes at the source link.
