Watch_Dogs 2 Student Hackathon Partnership Announced

Category: Gaming
Posted: 10:03AM

Ubisoft and Major League Hacking have today announced a season partnership for students to develop hack projects inspired by Watch_Dogs 2 and learn new cybersecurity skills. Major League Hacking is the official student hackathon league, and with how valuable a tool hacking will be in Watch_Dogs 2, this season partnership makes sense.

The idea behind this season is for the students who take part in it to better understand how the connected devices around us can be compromised, and how that can affect our day-to-day lives. It is also to encourage the students to find creative solutions and to start finding ways to secure their own applications.

The hackathons will be held at various schools from September 16 to November 5, with the MLH Prime Southwest Regional taking place November 12-13 in Austin, Texas. Watch_Dogs 2 is scheduled to release just days later on November 15.
