At Gamescom, Ubisoft showed off a number of things for 2017 title For Honor. The game places the player in a world where three factions, the Knights, Vikings, and Samurai fight to dominate the battlefield. Revealed today is that there are four types of heroes across these factions, making for a total of 12 heroes to choose from. These types are the Vanguards, Assassins, Heavies, and Hybrids. The Vanguards are well-balanced heroes, Assassins are swift and lethal, and Heavies are very resistant but slow. Hybrids combine elements from the other three, making them more advanced heroes that can use different tactics.

Also announced today is the game's multiplayer modes, which can be enjoyed with or against players or bots, and for consoles can be played in split-screen. The modes are Dominion, a 4v4 objective-based mode, Brawl and Duel, are 2v2 and 1v1 respective fights to the death while Skirmish is a 4v4 team death match. Elimination is also 4v4 and victory is won by being the last survivor.

For those of you who want For Honor and are interested in the collector's edition, the Collector's Case has been revealed and it contains a number of digital and physical goodies. The one item standing out the most is probably the third scale full metal faction helmet replicas, but it also comes with an exclusive lithography, the game's soundtrack, the Collector's Box, and naturally the game along with the Digital Deluxe Pack and Season Pass. All pre-orders also receive the Legacy Battle Pack.

For Honor is set to release February 14, 2017.
