be quiet! first introduced the Pure Power 9 series in January and issued an update in March. The company has not been resting on its laurels, issuing yet another update to the line. The result of further development on the PSUs is that "the efficiency and the voltage stability are improved when compared to its predecessor while reducing noise to a minimum." The new models retain the "Active Clamp + SR" topology that improves efficiency and grants 80PLUS Silver certification to high wattage models and 80PLUS Bronze to the lower wattage models. The company was able to optimize several internal components to reduce noise "caused by extreme load changes of modern graphics cards," as well as through changing the design of the cooling fan. Rounding out the new features is the change to black sleeved fixed cables. The Pure Power 9 is available in capacities between 300W and 700W with a price point between $54.99 and $110.99.
