Quake is Back in Quake Champions

Bethesda might have held just its second E3 press conference, but man, do they know how to rock it. Things started with an utter bang, as Bethesda unveiled none other than a new Quake. It makes sense since we just had a new DOOM, but now we have another classic id Software franchise back in the folds. Quake Champions is the name of the new entry, and the fast-paced, skill-based, arena-styled first-person shooter combat is back. Quake Champions gives us the multiplayer action the original series is known for, but brings it to the modern age with amazing graphics, unlocked framerates, and all of it at 120Hz. It has a cast of unique characters with their own distinctive abilities, some of which you can see in the trailer below. You can fight however you want in Quake Champions, and players of all skill levels will have the opportunity to play it. Id Software is building the game to let everyone enjoy the intense combat, so whether you're an experienced gamer or brand-new, Quake Champions is for you.

More on Quake Champions will be revealed during QuakeCon this August. Id Software is also expanding Quake Champions' eSports potential beyond just the convention, so be on the lookout for it at other venues once the game arrives.
