GOG Launches GOG Connect to Bring Your Steam Library to GOG

Category: Gaming
Posted: 08:37AM

As the title says, GOG has launched a new program called GOG Connect that will allow users to receive, for free, DRM-free copies of some of their Steam games. All it takes is connecting your GOG and Steam accounts, so it can see what games you own, and then redeeming the free offers. These offers are only available for a limited time, but new ones will become available as participating developers and publishers make their games eligible for this program.

The complete list of currently available games can be found at the source link, which is also where you can log in to enter the program. It took me awhile before everything connected properly, likely because of how much traffic it is getting, but keep at it if you want DRM-free copies of your already purchased Steam games on GOG. And be sure to check back to see what new games are added.
