NVIDIA's latest behemoth, the GeForce GTX 1080, is nearly here, with the NDA lifting today to show us all what the new flagship video card delivers. It runs on the Pascal architecture and the GP104 core, packing 2560 CUDA cores, 160 texture units, and 64 ROPs. It also has 8GB of Micron's new GDDR5X memory running at a 10Gbps data rate. The GP104 core itself is clocked at 1607MHz with a boost clock of 1733MHz. It should make for some impressive performance, especially once you start overclocking and take the card up and over the 2GHz barrier. The GeForce GTX 1080 is available in a Founders Edition card straight from NVIDIA, the altered name for the reference cards, with its board partners offering a range of options for a lower price. Today we have the Founders Edition cards for you, so check them out below to see what the GTX 1080 is all about.
