Raspberry Pi Zero Adds a Camera Port

Category: General News
Posted: 03:16PM

The Raspberry Pi Zero was released in November 2015 as the smallest and cheapest iteration of the popular computer, at a cost of just $5. Customers eager to get their hands on the device have faced some difficulties as the Pi Zero sold out almost immediately and continues to do so with all new stock that becomes available. Users now have something else to get excited about as the Raspberry Pi Foundation has discovered that "the same fine-pitch FPC connector that we use on the Compute Module Development Kit just fits onto the right hand side of the board." This allows the standard Raspberry Pi camera module to be attached through the use of a custom cable, adding even more utility to the tiny device.
