According to a listing of Battlefield 5 on a German website, it looks like the latest installment of the Battlefield series from DICE will feature a World War I setting. Although the listing has been removed since its initial discovery, the screen shot of the web page shows the description of the game as "Mehrspieler Taktik Shooter im 1. Weltkrieg," which in English translates to "Multiplayer tactical shooter in WW1." The German listing also notes that the game will be available on a total of three platforms, which includes PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and will be released to the public on October 26, 2016.

I hope it's not WW1 doesn't sound like it has much to offer in terms of loadouts. WW2 just offered a lot more variety in weaponry.

I wish they would just offer a WW1 expansion like the BC2 Vietnam one and not make the whole game WW1. I sure hope this rumor isn't true.

That could be possible that's what they did for BF 1943 on consoles.
