Some new information about Homefront: The Revolution was released today, including its release date of May 17 for North America and May 20 for the rest of the world. For those not aware of this upcoming game, it is an open world FPS set in Occupied Philadelphia in the year 2029, where you are a member of the resistance trying to undermine and overthrow the occupying KPA. Your enemy has superior technology, firepower, armor, and air support, so you will have to rely heavily on guerrilla warfare to succeed. If you do not want to wait until May to start playing, Deep Silver is having a closed beta in February, but it is an Xbox One exclusive beta. You can get a chance at the beta token by registering at the game's official site, which is linked below, but you can also take part in upcoming promotions to hopefully earn one.

In addition to the above information, Deep Silver has also released a new trailer for the game, titled This is Philadelphia. In this trailer we get a close look at the Yellow Zones of the historic city. These are the areas that hold the civilians under the watchful eye of the police state. Here you will have to hide in plain sight amongst the crowd. Besides the Yellow Zones, the city has also been cut up into Green and Red zones, with Green Zones housing KPA command centers, iconic landmarks, and the elites amongst the KPA and American collaborators. The Red Zones are the wastelands left by the KPA after the first armed uprising was crushed.

When Homefront: The Revolution launches in May, it will be available on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One for $59.99 and $49.99 on the PC.
