Specifications for the next generation of High End Desktop (HEDT) processors from Intel began to leak last month, noting that the CPUs would fall under the Broadwell-E lineup and use the X99 chipset. It was also revealed that the chips available at launch would have up to ten physical cores, but we were left wondering when the new CPUs would be officially revealed. Worry no longer, the launch date is now known. According to Benchlife, the CPUs will launch at Computex 2016, taking place from May 31 to June 4 in Taiwan. Four models will be available at launch, the i7-6950X, i7-6900K, i7-6850K, and i7-6800K. The CPUs will range from ten cores for the i7-6950X to six cores for the i7-6850K and i7-6800K at prices ranging from less than $450 to $999.
