Leaked Specifications Available for Intel Broadwell-E

The next iteration of Intel High-End Desktop (HEDT) processors features the Broadwell-E branding and will use the X99 chipset, with current motherboards remaining compatible. The HEDT chips carry the Extreme or Unlocked designation and started with the Core i7-965 Extreme Edition. The Core i7-6950X is expected to be the first CPU available from the Broadwell-E family and will feature 10 cores and 20 threads running at 3 GHz. An additional three Broadwell-E CPUs will be available under the i7-6900K, i7-6850K, and i7-6800K model numbers. The i7-6900K will have eight cores at 3.30 GHz, the i7-6850K will have six cores at 3.6 GHz, and the i7-6800K will have six cores at 3.4 GHz.
