AMD Radeon R9 Nano Facing Fan Noise Issues

After the controversy surrounding the AMD Radeon R9 Nano cards and the lack of reviews, it appears the bad news continues to pile on with reports of "major coil whine issues as reported by all the tech sites who managed to get a review sample of the card." This comes after AMD claimed the card would be "Library Quiet" with a maximum noise level of 42 dBA. The Nano isn't the first card to suffer from similar problems, with offerings from both NVIDIA and AMD facing noise issues recently. It appears that the issue is once again poor quality chokes on the AMD reference cards, the same culprit behind AMD reference Radeon R9 Fury X cards. Cards made by AMD partner vendors didn't face the same issues, so it may be worthwhile to wait for a third party R9 Nano if you are planning to go down that road.
