Batman: Arkham Knight Plagued by Issues at Launch

Category: Gaming
Posted: 03:40PM

Batman: Arkham Knight was released today on PC and despite updated drivers from AMD and NVIDIA designed for the game, it has faced a number of serious issues to go along with the launch. The issues appear to be mostly related to graphics and audio performance which include frame drops, audio glitches, and video stuttering. The frame rate is also capped at 30 FPS by default, though this can be remedied through editing a config file. Developer Rocksteady has acknowledged the issues stating, "We're aware that some users are reporting performance issues with the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight. This is something that Rocksteady takes very seriously. We are working closely with our external PC development partner to make sure these issues get resolved as quickly as possible." From this statement we have learned that an external studio was used to create the PC port, which could explain some of the lack in quality.

Game devs need to stop making crappy ports, and start making actual PC versions of games.
