Build and Run Your Own Vault with Fallout Shelter; Out Now on iOS, Coming Later to Android

Alongside all the news about DOOM, Dishonored 2, and Fallout 4, Bethesda also revealed its first mobile game: Fallout Shelter. This mobile game puts you as the Overseer of a Vault to build and run as you see fit, with inspiration drawn from the likes of XCOM, FTL, and SimCity. It's up to you to control the people in your Vault and keep them productive and happy, sometimes very happy if you want to increase population. Fallout Shelter uses 2D animated characters, much like you'd find on a Pip-Boy, and you can send them to the gym to get stronger, the classroom to increase their intelligence, and even equip them with various items to help defend the Vault, if need be. Items are handed out in lunchboxes, and can include everything from guns and ammo to healing items and RadAway. Raiders can attack your Vault, fires can break out, roaches and other creepy crawlies can find their way in, and it's all up to you and your residents to keep the place running smoothly.

Fallout Shelter has no paywalls, requires no active Internet connection to play, and is available right now on iOS. An Android version will be available later, although no word on when just yet.
