Yesterday a teaser and a countdown appeared on the Fallout website, letting us all know that something was coming. Well that something has turned out to be Fallout 4, the much awaited next entry in the post-apocalyptic RPG series. Fallout 4 takes us to The Commonwealth, and while we don't have a gameplay trailer for you, we do have a in-game trailer and a screenshot. The picture shows us a Power Armor (T45-d?) hanging up in a garage, with a dog (Dogmeat?) looking up at it, a board of weapons behind, a Nuka Cola machine in front, and even a small Valutboy bobblehead. As for the trailer, well, we have a house as it is in post-apocalyptia, and then it reverts to how it use to be, with it switching back and forth between the two time periods. And then the bomb drops.

The Commonwealth is the Fallout universe's representation of the New England area, and specifically the area around Massachusetts. It contains The Institute and its wealth of androids, which you may remember from Fallout 3. It also has the Railroad, an opposition faction to the Institute that seeks to help androids escape and avoid recapture by the Synth Retention Bureau. Fallout 4's protagonist hails from a Vault 111, and evidently he talks. This would definitely be a first for Bethesda's Fallout games and RPGs in general, so we'll just have to see how that all plays out in the end. Fallout 4 will have gameplay premiere during Bethesda's E3 conference in a little over a week, June 14, but I can tell you it's coming to the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Time to get hyped!
