The fight for humanity is on in XCOM 2, the PC-exclusive sequel to 2012's stellar XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Firaxis Games is once again at the helm of the sci-fi turn-based squad RPG, but things are far more dire than they were in the past game. Twenty years have passed, the aliens are now firmly in control of Earth and everything that comes with, and their government is known as Advent. XCOM has been forced to go underground to lead the resistance against Advent, and will make use of guerrilla tactucs to strike at the enemy. Unfortunately that enemy has a technological and numerical advantage, so your combat tactics are going to have to change. Stealth is now a much larger element in XCOM 2, where cover can conceal your forces and fallen bodies, both allied and enemy, can be looted. There are new enemies to face, like an Evolved Sectoid, Gorgon-like Vipers, and Advent soldiers. XCOM is not entirely without its resources, as the flying aircraft carrier called Avenger serves as a mobile base of operations.

More information on XCOM 2 will be coming in the weeks leading up to E3, with the gameplay reveal debuting then. XCOM 2 arrives this November exclusively on PC, with mod tools and full Steam Workshop support included.
