Cricket has publically revealed that it is discontinuing its Muve Music service in favor of Deezer, an incredibly popular music streaming service that currently features 16 million global listeners. Starting on January 31, 2015, Cricket customers will be able to utilize Deezer to access 35 million songs and more than 30,000 Internet radio stations from around the world. An extended free trial of Deezer will be offered to current Muve Music customers who switch to Cricket's new GSM network, and for those that take advantage of the offer, existing music libraries and playlists can even be transferred. New and existing Cricket customers on the new LTE network are eligible for a minimum 15-day free trial of Deezer, and will only be charged $6 per month for the service after the trial ends. The President of Cricket Wireless, Jennifer Van Buskirk, noted that "This agreement illustrates our ongoing commitment to deliver the best value in prepaid wireless and satisfy our customers' growing need for an unparalleled premium music experience."
