Intel Acquires PasswordBox

PasswordBox, a San Francisco-based security company that has introduced innovative technologies like Legacy Locker, secure password sharing, and 1-Tap Login to apps and websites for mobile phones since its launch in June, 2013, has been acquired by Intel. According to a blog post by PasswordBox, the company in the will be fully integrated into Intel Security, a global leader in secure technology. Intel plans to integrate the technology offered by PasswordBox into their own suite of applications and services, providing secure and seamless online experiences for millions of users.

PasswordBox will continue to remain available as is, with Intel Security offering all new and existing customers a premium subscription at no cost as a thank you to for the support that PasswordBox has received. The free premium subscription will remain available to customers until the release of a new product from Intel Security.
