Google Acquires Gecko
Google has confirmed that it has acquired Gecko, a startup located in Los Gatos, California, that helps design products for clients including Dell, Hewlett Packard, Herman Miller, and even Fitbit. Gecko, which specializes in the art of product design, will join Google's X lab, which takes on the challenge of developing and maintaining innovative technology such as Google Glass and driverless automobiles. Jacques Gagne, Gecko’s president and owner, stated that "We are very excited and honored to join Google(x) and work on a variety of cutting edge projects."
No terms surrounding the acquisition were disclosed by either Gecko or Google.
