Razer, a world leader in connected devices and software for gamers, has just announced Chroma, a new feature which provides full-spectrum, color-customizable lighting for enabled Razer devices. Chroma provides special lighting patterns for selected enabled products, including spectrum cycling, breathing, static, custom, custom with preloaded templates, reactive, and wave. The latest feature by Razer offers more than 16 million color options for devices that are compatible with Chroma and settings are synchronizable across multiple connected devices. Some of the devices that Razer is updating to support Chroma include the 2015 and 2016 editions of the BlackWidow Ultimate keyboard, DeathAdder gaming mouse, and Kraken 7.1 headset. Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO, noted that "Our new range of peripherals that feature Chroma customizable backlighting is another step towards full personal customization and to interconnect our gaming tech."
Chroma-enabled Razer peripherals will be available starting in September of this year, while the Chroma SDK, which will allow developers to take full advantage of the lighting options that are available, will be released late this year.
