Gamescom is the biggest gaming convention in the world, which is probably why publisher Deep Silver isn't playing around (no pun intended). Deep Silver announced today that its public booth will feature a whopping six playable games across "more than 150 gaming stations for PC and consoles." The centerpiece of its line-up will be open world, action-RPG Dead Island 2, which will be playable for for the first time. I know a lot of fans will be looking forward to the inevitable gameplay trailer to be released after the excellent E3 CGI trailer whet our appetites last month:
Joining Dead Island 2 is first-person shooter Metro Redux, RPG Risen 3: Titan Lords, arcade hack 'n' slash Sacred 3, zombie MOBA Dead Island Epidemic, and strategy game Emergency 5. Sadly, it seems the cel-shaded, third-person shooter Escape Dead Island will not be playable despite a planned Fall 2014 release. Gamescom takes place August 13-17 in Cologne, Germany. If you're attending and would like to play the aforementioned games, the Deep Silver public booth will be in Hall 9.1., B011/C010.
