Amazon has now confirmed what has been rumored for some time, and previewed earlier this week, a subscription service is now available for the popular Kindle e-Reader. The Kindle Unlimited service will cost $9.99 per month, with a 30 day trial included, and will give users access to more than 600,000 titles including such popular titles as "The Hunger Games" and "Flash Boys." A number of large publishers including HarperCollins and Simon & Schuster are currently absent from the offerings, but Amazon is also including its selection of audiobooks with the service. Kindle Senior VP Russ Grandinetti described the service saying it is, "by far the most cost-effective way to enjoy audiobooks and e-books together."
