Transcend has just introduced the SSD370, a solid state drive that is aimed at performance driven consumers. The solid state drive utilizes high-quality MLC NAND Flash chips, makes use of the SATA III 6Gb/s interface, and incorporates a powerful Transcend TS6500 controller. All of these components ensure that the SSD370 can provide users with read speeds up to 570MB/s and write speeds up to 470MB/s. Transcend has engineered the SSD370 to save power, as it supports SATA Device Sleep Mode, or DevSleep. This technology allows a computer to fully power off the SATA interface while still maintaining a response time of less than 20ms. The SSD370 also comes with features such as Advanced Power Shield mechanism, Intelligent Block Management, S.M.A.R.T. commands support, Wear Leveling, and NCQ/TRIM.

The Transcend SSD370 comes with a three-year warranty and is available in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB capacities and costs $49, $59, $99, $169, $319, and $679, respectively.
