CyberPower Announces Budget Quad Core System
CyberPower has announced a partnership with online retailer Newegg that will bring the Everyman Quad Core EQ100 to the market. The system is based around an AMD Sempron 3850 Kabini APU "that makes quad core computing practical for everyday use." The base model also includes 4GB of DDR3 1600MHz memory, a 500GB SATA 3 hard drive, AMD Radeon HD 8280 onboard graphics, and integrated 7.1 channel audio. The $299 price point makes the EQ100 a great choice for budget conscious users that still want to experience a quad core system. VP of Global Channel Sales at AMD Roy Taylor said, "CYBERPOWERPC shares our vision for affordable quad core computing and is among the first US system builders to pioneer using the AM1 platform, together with Newegg."
