P.F. Chang's Acknowledges Security Breach
Hackers have infiltrated yet another United States business, stealing important customer data such as credit and debit card information. This time the security breach has been announced by P.F. Chang's, a restaurant owned by Centerbridge Partners that serves Asian-inspired dishes to customers in an upscale and casual setting. According to P.F. Chang's CEO, Rick Federico, the company has concluded that data has been compromised and that an investigation with the United States Secret Service and third-party security entities is ongoing. This acknowledgement comes after a report surfaced just a few days ago from Krebs on Security that revealed that thousands of customer credit cards and debit cards were stolen between March and May of this year.
Due to the security breach, P.F. Chang's has implemented within its United States stores a manual credit card imprinting system in order to protect customer data.
