Back at the tail end of last year, Cherry unveiled its new MX RGB switches that feature per-key backlighting of 16.8 million colors. This January Corsair showed off its MX RGB Project, which was a joint effort between the two companies to develop products using those new switches. Now, during Computex, we see the fruit of that labor, as Corsair has officially announced the K95 and K70 RGB gaming keyboards. Both feature those MX RGB switches for a fully custom lighting experience, along with plenty of Corsair quality. The star of the show are those new switches, and when combined with some editing software, allows for any combination of lights and colors. You can highlight certain groupings in one color and another group in a different color, or apply a gradient or ripple pattern, set the lights to come on whenever you type, or pretty much anything your heart desires.
The K95 RGB keyboard features red mechanical switches and 18 dedicated G-Keys for a staggering 108 macro combinations or custom mapped keys, with onboard memory keeping everything stored. There are also dedicated media keys, a 100% anti-ghosted matrix, full key rollover, and a 1000Hz polling rate for accurate response during games. The K70 RGB does not include any of those G-Keys, but has everything else that the K95 RGB features. Both also have a black brushed aluminum anodized frame for some good looks even without the backlighting.
Corsair also introduced the new M65 RGB gaming mouse, which features three zones capable of displaying 16.8 million colors, just like the keyboards. It also has an 8200DPI gaming-grade laser sensor, an adjustable weight tuning system, and a dedicated sniper button for those precision control moments. DPI switching is handled on-the-fly, so you should always be able to find a perfect setting to match your game.
The K70 RGB keyboard with red mechanical switches will be available in late July for $169.99, while blue and brown switch models arrive in August. The K95 RGB keyboard and M65 RGB mouse both arrive in August, with the K95 RGB at $189.99 and the M65 RGB at $69.99.
