Kingston HyperX Sets Overclocking Record
Kingston has announced that overclocker Hicookie of Gigabyte has achieved a new record for highest memory frequency using a single 4GB stick of HyperX memory. The frequency of 4500MHz was achieved using a currently unavailable set of DDR3 that operates at 2933MHz and the new Gigabyte Z97X-SOC FORCE LN2 motherboard. Kingston has also become the newest partner for overclocking website HWBOT and will be holding the HyperX OC Takeover competition at the Computex tradeshow in Taiwan this week. Competitors will vie for $10,000 in prizes in maximum memory frequency, SuperPi 32M, and XTU.
