Spotify Suffers Minor Security Breach
Spotify today announced that it has suffered a security breach after it realized that unauthorized access to its systems occurred. The breach was small in nature however, with the company reporting that only one user's account information was compromised. Though data relating to this one user account was accessed, Spotify notes that information taken did not include any password, financial, or payment information. Nonetheless, the company is taking this security breach seriously, and is guiding Android users in updating their Spotify application over the next few days. Due to this, users who have offline playlists will have to once again download them in full.
Increased security measures for its internal systems have been implemented by Spotify due to this breach, and the company is vowing to protect the data of its users in the future.
