HP Launches Inexpensive Jelly Bean Tablet
While the tablet market has certainly been heating up over the last few years, budget tablets that offer decent specifications have been somewhat difficult to find. HP is hoping to change that however, as it is now offering its new 7 Plus tablet for $99.99 with free shipping available. The HP 7 Plus runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and incorporates a quad core ARM Cortex-A7 processor, a 1024 x 600 IPS display, 8GB of onboard storage, 1GB of RAM, low resolution front and rear facing cameras, a microSD slot, and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. While 8GB of onboard storage is relatively low for typical tablet use, the availability of a microSD slot will likely make up for it. Additionally, 25GB of lifetime cloud storage with Box is being provided to customers of the HP 7 Plus.
