When Flappy Bird first hit the App Store and Google Play, the number of downloads for the game were astonishing and its popularity grew at an alarming rate. In all, the game was downloaded around 50 million times before it was taken down by its creator, Dong Nguyen, for reportedly being too addictive in nature. Nguyen has just made a special remark about the future development of Flappy Bird however, stating that the game is set to debut once again later this year. More than likely, Flappy Bird will make a reappearance on the App Store and Google Play sometime in August. In order to make the game less addicting for users, Nguyen says that the next public release of Flappy Bird will be multiplayer.
