Amazon Expands Sunday Deliveries to Additional Cities
Amazon has been delivering packages on Sundays to customers located in Los Angeles and New York ever since November of last year with the help of the United States Postal Service. Since then, millions of packages have been delivered on Sundays to Amazon customers, primarily consisting of newborn apparel, books, and toys. Amazon has just announced that it is expanding its availability of Sunday package deliveries to 15 more cities around the United States. These cities include Austin, College Station, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Waco, Texas; Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio; Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky.; New Orleans and Shreveport, Louisiana.; Indianapolis, Indiana.; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Vice President of North America Operations at Amazon stated that the company is quite excited to be able to offer Sunday deliveries to more cities across the United States, as customers enjoy the convenience that everyday deliveries offer.
The online retail giant also revealed that it plans to offer Sunday deliveries to even more customers across the country later this year, continuing its partnership with the United State Postal Service.
