Microsoft today confirmed that it has reinstated Xbox Music as a search target for Bing, including both the web form of the search engine as well as Bing Smart Search on Windows. Users of Bing will notice that search results for music actually include Xbox Music integration, allowing users of the Microsoft search engine to legally play songs. While other services allow music to be search and played, such as Pandora and Spotify, Google does not currently provide this capability that Microsoft has just reintegrated into Bing. However, music that is played through Xbox Music on Bing is only available for a few hours each month before listeners will have to pay $10 per month for an Xbox Music Pass, thereby granting unlimited access to 18 million tracks.

Microsoft reportedly sees the integration between Bing and Xbox Music as another stepping stone to its approach of migrating services and making them available across various products.
