Drones Banned at Yosemite National Park
The National Park Service has recently announced that the use of unmanned aircraft systems, including drones, is banned under all circumstances within Yosemite National Park boundaries. This means that any individual looking to film overhead videos of the park, rock climbing, and other aerial based footage is prohibited from doing so. According to the National Park Service, drones in general are extremely noisy and not only affect wildlife within Yosemite National Park, but also impact the overall natural soundscape. More importantly, the use of drones of all shapes and sizes are banned due to the unmanned aircraft systems interfering with emergency rescue operations.
