The latest power supply from Corsair, the AX1500i, uses digitally-controlled circuitry to deliver an extremely efficient PSU that can power anything thrown at it. It is the first 1500W PSU to achieve 80 PLUS Titanium certification with an efficiency rating of 94%. The PSU is controlled by a digital signal processor, "resulting in tighter DC voltage output regulation and superior stability for your valuable PC’s components." An added benefit to the efficiency is a reduction in heat allowing for zero RPM fan operation at usage up to 450W and quiet operation up to full capacity using a 140mm Dynamic Fluid Bearing fan. PSU product manager Aaron Neal described the motivation behind the AX1500i saying, "After we released the AX1200i, the world’s first digital ATX PSU, our customers came to us asking for an even higher wattage AXi PSU to power their most demanding PCs." The AX1500i is available for purchase now with an expected release of late May at an MSRP of $449.99.
