LinkedIn Reaches 300 Million Members
LinkedIn has reached a milestone of its own today, announcing that it now has 300 million members across the globe. Of these users more than half are located outside of the United States, which shows the global presence that LinkedIn currently has. As the service continues to grow, it is focusing heavily on the mobile market. Each day, LinkedIn says that it processes 15 million profile views and 1.45 million job views through mobile alone. Later this year the company is projecting to reach another important milestone, where more than 50 percent of all global traffic will come from mobile devices.
Although LinkedIn is celebrating its member landmark, it has a long way to go in its efforts to connect the global workforce, which is comprised of roughly 3.3 billion people.
