Sapphire has announced the addition of three new graphics cards based on the AMD Graphics Core Next architecture to its lineup as part of the R5 230 series. The three cards are low profile PCIe cards "that require no additional power connector, making them ideal for entry level systems or for upgrading existing PC systems and providing additional monitor support." All cards have 160 stream processors with a 625MHz core clock. There will be two basic models that offer a choice of 1GB or 2GB of DDR3 and several outputs including Dual-link DVI, VGA, and HDMI. The R5 230 FleX has 1GB of DDR3 that runs at an enhanced speed of 800MHz. The FleX also has the ability to support up to three monitors in an Eyefinity setup, and according to Sapphire "delivers the most cost-effective Eyefinity solution available."
