Unreal Engine 4.1 Coming Soon
Unreal Engine 4 has seen quite a bit of fanfare lately, with a features trailer being broadcasted at GDC 2014 and Firefox support being recently announced. That fanfare will continue, as a new update is set to be released by Epic Games for Unreal Engine 4 later this month, bringing its version number to 4.1. Within this incremental update are many bug fixes and improvements that cover various portions of the game engine. New features to Unreal Engine include flying and rolling project templates, a scene outliner folder system, an asset deletion assistant, an undo history window, the ability to jump to connection in graph, debug histogram visualization, and a translation editor. The most notable addition that will be included in Unreal Engine 4.1 is support for SteamOS and Linux, allowing developers of videos games to package and deploy their titles to a wider audience than ever.
