ADATA is adding to its broad array of products with the announcement of the Premier Pro SP920 SSD. The drive uses the 2.5" form factor and takes advantage of the SATA 6Gb/s specification. Powered by the latest SSD controller from Marvell, the drive is capable of reaching read and write speeds up to 560MB/s and 500MB/s, respectively. The SP920 is able to maintain these speeds even when nearing the full storage capacity, a problem that can show up in other SSDs. The SP920 will be available in capacities of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB with a price range from $89.99 to $529.99. Users will also have access to the latest SSD Toolbox software from ADATA, granting access to information about the disk, the ability to change settings, and improve the lifespan and performance of the drive.
