Although Mozilla has had support for Unreal Engine 3 by Epic Games for some time, the organization has just announced that its Firefox Internet browser has received support for the latest Epic Games engine known as Unreal Engine 4. The newest game engine from Epic Games is not only used to build extravagant and large games, but it can also be used to create smaller titles. Mozilla has shown this off, displaying the Epic Soul demo running smoothly at near native speeds within Firefox, without any plugins. A 2D game that utilized Unreal Engine 4 was also shown off within the Firefox Internet browser, also running without any plugins.
More information about Unreal Engine 4 now supporting Firefox is supposed to be revealed by Mozilla at the Game Developers Conference, which is set to take place next week.
