G.SKILL, a leading manufacturer and designer in high performance memory, has recently announced that it has overclocked its Ripjaws SO-DIMM DDR3 RAM to new heights. By using a barebones ASRock M8 system, the Ripjaws, which run at 1.35V, were able to reach 2600MHz with in dual channel operation. Originally, the RAM is clocked at 2133MHz in an 8GB configuration that features a set of 4GB modules. With the Ripjaws SO-DIMM memory being marketed by G.SKILL as a solution for laptops and small form factor computers, it is reassuring that so much performance can be attained through the practice of overclocking.
