Valve first teased Free to Play, a documentary about the early stages of Dota 2 and The International, before The International 3. An early look at the movie was given to attendees of The International 3 and much of what I read about it was very positive. Valve has been quiet about the movie since then, but today announced a March 19th release date. It will be available for free on Steam with a Competitor Pack available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds going to players featured in the film. Gamers will get several in-game items to go with their purchase including item sets for Pudge, Doom, and Sven. Personally I can't wait to give Valve more of my money to support the effort that went into this.
