LG Announces the G Pro 2 Smartphone Featuring a Massive 5.9-inch Screen
LG Electronics may not be the first name in smartphones you think of, but it certainly wants to be the biggest. The South Korean company has unveiled a revised version of its G Pro 2 smartphone, with the screensize coming in at a staggering 5.9 inches. It's a bump up from the 5.5-inch screen of the past model, and most definitely puts it in that phone/tablet/phablet realm. The new LG G Pro 2 also includes a 1W speaker system, a first for a smartphone, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. Other specifications haven't been disclosed just yet, but expect all of that before long. LG was originally expected to reveal the G Pro 2 at the end of this month, however it appeared to want a headstart on whatever Samsung is going to announce at the Mobile World Congress on February 24. Regardless of the decision, people needing a large smartphone have a new option to consider.
The LG G Pro 2 will be available at the end of this month in South Korea, while a global release date isn't known at this time.
